As white as snow: meadowsweet has radiant properties – day after day its petals become brighter and brighter to attract bees, who are particularly drawn to this colour.

800 to 1,200 metres: the altitude at which this wild flower blossoms in corymbs, preferably in a protected environment, with soil irrigated by pure water, with no fertiliser or pesticides.

Queen for a day: also known as Queen of the Meadow, it was a symbol of luck during the Middle Ages, adorning the bouquets of Provençal brides to bring them joy and happiness.

One month: the harvest time for this flawless flower, which is picked for L'Occitane by specialist Jean-Pierre Pavier. From June to July, he dutifully keeps watch over the flowers until they reach full maturity, when they can be harvested for their legendary properties.

Filipendula ulmaria: the plant's Latin name, which since ancient times has been considered a sacred plant, naturally rich in salicylic acid. Its active ingredient helps to restore the skin's natural brightness and clarity.

In the spotlight: L'Occitane has put all the benefits of this unique flower at the heart of its Reine Blanche range. Discover this range today, enriched with plant extracts and vitamin C for more radiant, youthful and luminous skin.
